Want to boost your burgers or five panel caps sales? A Kentucky-based ad agency came up with a high-concept platform that will take native advertising to the next level, putting ads in untapped real estate that consumers interact with every day: beards. Half joke, half real, the concept is called Beardvertising ; nothing brand new (remember the tattos and the whole human billboard thing), but definitely funny to see how the so-called hipster counter culture is getting more and more linked to the mainstream world.

One of my favorite sunday activity ! Rolling and, of course, eating goi cuon, a Vietnamese dish traditionally consisting of pork, prawn, vegetables, bún (rice vermicelli), and other ingredients wrapped in Vietnamese bánh tráng (commonly known as rice paper). Healthy and delicious !

Very happy to introduce Jet Silver, my new side-project with the Swiss DJ Ngoc Lan. With deep roots in the early age of deejaying and its mind on forward thinking productions, this combination defends an eclectic and exigent vision of club music, blending future beats, rap records, deep house and electronica songs altogether. Bumper Check is our first podcast, we really like it and hope you’ll like it too. If you do, spread the vibe :-)

The video starts like a new Batman trailer, but you suddenly realize you are not in Gotham : the camera is moving in the streets of Detroit. Destroyed by the crisis, but enlightened by the an invincible creative process, the Motor City is the home ot the 2013 X Games, strengthening its crucial role on the cultural and alternative world map. An ultimate playground, brilliantly captured by The Work Inc.

As a Lego and radio lover when I was a child, I really can’t imagine how I could have wanted this one… To be honest, I still want it heavy as a blaster can sound - picture via vnylst

Nice stop motion commercial for the Brooklyn Brewery, one of my favorite places to go out on the early NYC friday nights, just before dropping next door to the Brooklyn Bowl. The video is a classic quite hipster bike ride in BK, which can easily be seen as a cliché but, most of all, captures the essential coolness of spending time in New York.

American artist Jay Shells just created a huge NYC rap map, installing street signs quoting famous rap lyrics, in their dedicated location. So you’ll find a Cam’ron punchline at 145th and Broadway, or some classic Guru material at Malcom X Boulevard and Gates Avenue, like a shout out to the original shout outs, a material ode to the real street music. For more daily rap quotes in the digital world, you can follow @TheRapQuotes on Twitter.

As I’ve been digging vintage sport visuals, I found a couple of nice prints by Caleb Kozlowski, who created sport posters following the minimalist tradition. Design director at Hybrid Design in San Francisco, Caleb Kozlowski have also worked for TEDGlobal or Nike - great pieces of work you can discover on his online portfolio or company website.

Really love the artwork of new Mount Kimbie album, to be released on May 28th via Warp Records. By the way, the London duo just dropped a first single called “Made to Stray”, featuring vocals by Maker and Kai Campos.
